Crissy Field Ground Handling

Crissy Field, morning. Extremely variable wind, N, , NW, W, NE, SW, 0-5 mph. Not at all fun, I think I was experiencing thermals on an otherwise windless day. Maybe I was even the thermal trigger, it seemed whenever I lifted the wing, I’d get 2-5 seconds before something awful would happen. Lots of collapses, nosedowns, and sudden loss of wind. One hour, no real kiting.
