Ground Handling (with chirping birds)

Mussel Rock, Pacifica, 9am. West @ 6-9 mph

I was the only one at the dumps, it was early and had been fogged in until recently. I was alone, so no flying. Shallow slope facing the wind. Practiced reverse-to-front transitions and did some bunny hop launches. Some kiting with Ds. After 3 minutes realized speed bar was not attached. Good control overall, posture rather upright (the light conditions seemed to require me to have most of my weight on my feet). Launches were a little lurchy, legs and wing accelerating at different rate.

  • Forgot to connect speed bar.
  • Reverse-to-front transitions could be smoother.

1:00 Mussel Rock (Saddle), ground handling.
