A Little Too Strong

Mussel Rock, Pacifica, 4:00pm. W @ 15-18mph

Some high wind ground handling in the Saddle with a visiting Spanish pilot. Avoided getting dragged, but I did cover a lot of ground trying to maintain control. Used a variety of techniques to move the wing: brakes, Cs, Ds, stabilo/brake. Cs were most effective when done just right, Ds were more forgiving but less efficient. Reverse and forward kiting with some decent torpedo-then-flare hops. The wind came down a bit, kiting was much easier, I considered launching from Gusto but it was too… gusty. Packed up without flying.

0:20 Mussel Rock (Saddle), ground handling.
