Round the Corner

Mussel Rock, Pacifica, 11 mph SSW, 2:00pm.

After three failed attempts at kiting to the top of Walker (wicked rotor on this very south day) I launched from the north side of Walker ramp, most of the way up. I launched due west and let the glider’s natural tendency to find the wind turn me left. This gave me enough time to clear the hill. Flew south along Walker ridge, gaining height but not enough. Peeled away from the ridge and set up a gentle in-wind spot landing on a door-sized ditch bridge.

0:02 Mussel Rock (Walker), reverse launch.
